What are BitTap Spot Trading Fees and How are They Calculated?

Spot TradingWhat are BitTap Spot Trading Fees and How are They Calculated?

In BitTap spot trading, trading fees are a portion of the costs users pay when buying or selling cryptocurrencies. These fees are typically divided into two types:

Types of Trading Fees

Maker Fee

When you place a limit order that waits in the market to be matched by other users, you are considered a “Maker” because you are providing liquidity to the market. Maker fees are usually lower.

Taker Fee

When you place a market order or an order that is immediately matched with an existing limit order, you are considered a “Taker” because you are taking liquidity from the market. Taker fees are typically higher than Maker fees.

How Are BitTap Spot Trading Fees Calculated?

BitTap trading fees are calculated based on the user’s trading volume and VIP level on a tiered basis. The specific fee rate decreases as users increase their 30-day trading volume or account asset value. Different VIP levels offer different fee rates, with higher VIP levels having lower fees.

Calculation Formula

Trading Fee = Trade Amount × Fee Rate

For example, if a user’s Taker fee rate is 0.10% and the trade amount is 10,000 USDT, the trading fee would be:

Trading Fee = 10,000 × 0.001 = 10 USDT

Fee Example

VIP 0 User (Basic user with lower asset value or trading volume)

  • Maker Fee Rate: 0.10%
  • Taker Fee Rate: 0.10%

VIP 9 User (Advanced user with higher 30-day trading volume or larger asset holdings)

  • Maker Fee Rate: 0.032%
  • Taker Fee Rate: 0.045%

Each VIP level enjoys progressively lower fee rates as users increase their trading volume or asset holdings.

How to Reduce Trading Fees

Increase VIP Level

By increasing your trading volume or holding more assets, you can upgrade your VIP level and enjoy lower trading fees.
